Valentine's Day 2010

Valentine's day was wonderful this year. We baked a lot of heart-shaped cookies for my class the week before. The boys also did really well filling out Valentines for their cousins and friends. Drew was really excited to go through all of his special notes and treats from school and Will loved holding them and walking around the house. I worked the Friday before for my job-share partner and so we had a huge celebration all afternoon. Needless to say I was exhausted from that party with my 4th graders when I got home. I had about 5 different activities planned and they each were pretty involving. We started out Valentine's Day morning by exchanging gifts. I was spoiled with roses, lilies, a candle, and a balloon from the boys. Tyce got a new earpiece for his cell, and the boys were excited about their candy. We then went to church and came home to play outside in the nice weather while Tyce coached Hunter's Basketball team. Will and Drew delivered cookies and Valentines to all of their neighborhood friends, and we had dinner by candlelight with the boys to finish off the day! They thought it was the best thing ever!
