At the beginning of the month March always feels like it is going to drag on and on, but every year it seems like the end comes so quickly due to all of the things that keep our family so busy! Here is what we have been up to lately and the "madness" that has occured in our household.
-The month started off with my mother's birthday. Her and I had the best Sunday together having lunch, getting a pedicure, shopping, and seeing a movie. I love those times with my mom and cherish every minute we spend together.
-Birthday's this month included my mom, our nephews Jacob and Cole, our nieces Julia and Bella, my brother Mike, Aunt Shelly, and my dearest friend, Kelly.
-We celebrated Mike's 40th birthday dinner at Saltys on Alki.
-We had a birthday celebration for my neice Bella who is 2 years old. It was amazing to watch her walk around, open her presents, and play considering she was born prematurely and weighed 1 lb. 2 oz.
-Tyce traveled to Nashville Tenn. on business. He tried to convince me to move there when he got back. I think he enjoyed himself a little too much. :-)
-I helped my friend Dawn raise $550.00 at a garage sale on a Sat. for the March of Dimes that is May 1st.
-Saturdays were officially dubbed slumber party nights because the boys had their cousins stay two weekends in a row. This was a lot of fun for them!
-I was extremely happy to have my good friend Autumn and her boys come and stay with us!
-We got to enjoy our friends the Maercle's company for dinner one weekend. They have such great kids and we are loving getting to know them better!
-We also got to see our friends the Rogels and play with Layne who has been so sick but thank goodness is getting better!
-Last but not least, Will is pacifier free! He did it! It was all done by accident, but who cares right? It is done! This should be a post in itself but I'll tell it anyway. Tyce was gone overnight in Mt. Vernon at a food show and I was home putting the boys to bed. We were down to one paci and we couldn't find it. Will was upset by this and so he, Drew, and I were searching frantically for it. The boys even looked in the toilets! I was thinking to myself that I was in for a long night and I wasn't about to put the boys in the car and drive to buy another one so I just turned to Will and told him that it was lost for now and we'll look in the morning. He said, "O.K. Mom!" and let me put him to bed. He went right to sleep, slept all night, and in the morning asked again so I told him to go look for it. He started to look but then got distracted and quit. Well, everytime he asked, that was my response. He slowly stopped asking and that is that. Not to say that we didn't have our days he asked every 5 minutes, or he didn't wimper in his sleep, but all in all it was a piece of cake! I mean this kid sucked on that thing every chance he got! He would sneak upstairs and find it and hide somewhere just so he could suck on it. He slept with it every single nap and night for the last 2 years and 11 months! It amazes me how easy it was. We were totally dreading the day we would take it away and believe me, we knew it was coming very soon, we just didn't want to deal with all of the drama. Well, it was just another reminder of how incredibly amazing our little boy is. There isn't a day that goes by where he doesn't surprise us. He has us wrapped around his finger, that is for sure!
