Santa Train

Here it comes!

Enjoying the ride!

The VanNoy Family
Mommy and Will

Santa we have been good boys this year. We would like a Power Ranger's training set and Power Rangers for the Wii. Please??????????

This last weekend we had our friends Jessica and Brody and their two little girls, Kennedy and Devin over to stay. We drove up to the Mt. Rainer scenic railroad to ride the Santa train on Saturday and the kids loved it. It was a beautiful day for a trainride in the mountains. We then enjoyed our time hanging out, cooking, watching football, and visiting in our jammies all weekend. It was just what the Doctor ordered.

Thanksgiving

Tyce and I hosted Thanksgiving this year and had his family

over. I was really bad about taking pictures. Kicking myself now. :-) We had a great holiday! There is a picture of Drew and McKinzy's boyfriend Janssen playing their guitars. It was so cute! Drew has been taking lessons for 5 months now and wanted to show his family what he has learned. Then Janssen taught him a few new skills! He was so proud!

Halloween 2011

We had a great time this year on Halloween! The boys ran their hearts out from house to house! We started off the night with our traditional Halloween dinner, tortilla soup. I always make a big pot during the day and Grammy and Papa come over for dinner. This year, Papa was hunting so just Grammy came. We ate and then took the boys out while she stayed behind to hand out candy. Tyce and I really enjoyed watching the kids. They are truly such great friends and are cute together.

Pumpkin Patch 2011

We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday and I think the whole town was there! It didn't matter that it was so packed, we still had so much fun with the boys! We didn't need to pick out pumpkins because my mom has a friend with a pumpkin farm and she brought us some a couple of weeks ago. We went so we could navigate our way through the cornmaze, see the animals, and let the kids play the activities. The weather was beautiful and warm, and even though the ground was muddy, it wasn't raining and we were greatful. Drew LOVED the cornmaze and Will loved watching the goats. Tyce and I loved watching our boys having so much fun!

Tyce's Catering Gig

Tyce was asked by our friends to cater thier father's surprise 60th birthday party.
I went down as his wingman and helped him create 11 items that we kept stocked with fresh replacements. We had a great time and stayed the night since it was in Woodland,WA. It was the chance to have a night away, work together, and make some extra money. We had a blast and he even booked a wedding in June and a Christmas Party this December.

Drew's Surprise Party

When Tyce and I asked Drew what he wanted for his birthday he had a list of toys that he rambled off but he ended his list with what he wanted the most, a surprise party. Tyce and I would giggle to ourselves that he asked for that, but in the end, we had to give our baby his wish right? After all, he is the best little 7 year old. He is so kind, smart, funny, talented, caring, sweet, thoughtful, and loving. He is the best big brother to Will and he makes us so proud daily. We found a place in Universtiy Place that rents out a room for a Wii party. It is actually right next to the Chambers Bay golf course in the Environmental building. I went early with Will to set up and Tyce and Drew came later. He thought that Will and I were running errands and that he was going on a work run with Daddy. Instead Daddy took him to his party. He was thrilled and so surprised!  It was so fun to see his face and then to see him with his friends who were waiting for him so they could yell surprise! He said it was the best birthday ever! We think that every year is the best birthday buddy!  Every year you grow and learn and become even more lovable and enchanting!  We love you so much Bug!  Happy 7th Birthday!  The past 7 years have been the best of our lives!

Drew is 7!

Drew turned 7 on Friday, the 30th of September. We didn't have school so it was a treat to wake up and celebrate with him. We had such a great day! He woke up to his presents and donutholes for breakfast, we then went to Chuck E. Cheeses for lunch, and then had his favorite dinner, salmon with Papa and Fanny that night. He got everything he wanted this year. Including a surprise party!  See next post.

Collins Elementary

Drewbug is officially a First Grader. He loves school and was so excited to start and see his friends from last year. His teacher is Mrs. Peterson and she is so great! He and I had a great first day! We have been so busy these past two weeks. I started teaching Kinder this year and love it! I am exhausted at the end of the day though. I have 25 little Kinders in my class and they sure do keep me on my toes. I am so lucky to jobshare with one of my best friends Sara though. That at least gives me a break through out the week and some time to be one on one with my little Will.

We went to Crescent Bar with our friends Jamie and Cynthia for a couple nights in the end of August. It was a blast boating, swimming, and hanging out. We love to see them and are so excited that they are expecting their first baby in December. They are so great with the boys. It was an eventful trip because both boys innertubed by themselves behind the boat and Drew learned how to swim completely!

Kristine, Charlie and Noelle

In early July my sister came to visit with Charlie and Noelle while her husband settled into his new job at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. We had a great time visiting with them and playing with baby Noelle. It is always sad to say goodbye to them but I look forward to seeing them in December.
