Happy Birthday to my first born son! I can not believe that you are 5 tomorrow! The time has certainly flown by way to fast. As I tucked you into bed tonight I remembered the sleepless nights when we first brought you home from the hospital. The past five years have been the best years of my life! Here are ten things that make me smile everyday with my big boy around.

1. You are the sweetest thing! You are always giving me compliments and you say the sweetest comments at the most appropriate times! On my way to work in the mornings you tell me that you love me and to have a great day at school, you tell me every night to dream good dreams, and you randomly tell me you love me and that you miss me when we are apart.
2. You are obsessed with Batman! You love to watch Batman, play Batman, and wear your Batman costume.
3. You talk a lot about good guys and bad guys. You will point to a random person in a store or on the road and ask me if he is a good guy, or a bad guy. This of course stems from your Batman obsession.
4. You love to talk to strangers. I constantly have to remind you to not associate with strangers but man you love to chat with any adult that will listen to you. Your most recent episode that had your daddy and I laughing was when you turned around completely on the swings at the fair and tried to have a conversation with the mommy on the swing behind you. Did I forget to mention that the ride was going full blast???? Oh, you crack us up!
5. Your best friend is your brother and I REALLY love that about you!
6. Your dimples make me melt.
7. You are really coordinated. You are amazing on your bike. After only riding on 2 wheels for about a month you can jump off the curb, ride down steep hills, stand up while riding, and make awesome skid marks in the road. You are also incredible on your scooter and a skateboard. Your not too shabby with a bat and ball either.
8. You are the best eater. You will eat anything. ANYTHING! You have never complained about a meal and are up to not only try, but actually eat whatever is put in front of you. (Which leads me to #9)
9. You want to be a chef when you grow up. You love to help mommy and daddy in the kitchen and this makes mommy bake more then she probably would. That is a good thing.
10. You fill my heart with joy because you have my dad in you. I can see it, and feel it daily.

I love you Drewbug! I am the luckiest mommy to have you as my son. I am honored.
