Christmas 2008

Well I can definitely say that Christmas was interesting this year! On Christmas Eve we went to Renton to go to a church that was closer to Daniel's Broiler where we were going to dinner. Our church didn't have a service that was early enough that night. It was HUGE turn out so we ended up sitting in the entryway in chairs which was perfectly fine except that the boys thought is was a time to play, dance, scream, and run away. Thank goodness it was only an hour service so we were back on the road before they annoyed too many people. We then ventured through the snow covered streets to the restaurant to meet Tyce's family. We had such a great time and the boys were miraculously soooooo good in the restaurant. We brought plenty of stuff to keep them busy and they played Connect Four and watched movies while Tyce and I feasted on Lobster. We drove home in peace while the kids slept and watched the snow fall once we reached the hill.
Christmas morning was a blast watching Drew's reaction to what Santa brought! He didn't even notice that his snowboard that he so desperately wanted was a skateboard instead. Will was just as cute looking at his presents and giving us an "ohhhhhh" when he opened them!
We then headed to Brett and Tambi's house for brunch. We were halfway through presents when we all discovered that Maddy had the chickenpox! Poor Mads! She was such a trooper. Well, with that said, I couldn't go to my brother's house and celebrate with my family because we couldn't expose my niece Isabella who was born at 1lb. 2 oz. to the chickenpox. So we drove there to give them their presents and at least say hello from the front porch. We then spent our Christmas night eating Chinese takeout, setting up new toys, and cleaning out the playroom. I loved every moment of it even though it was not what I expected. I don't think Madison will ever forget this Christmas either!

Merry Christmas to your Family! So glad you guys had a great one!

Setting up toys/putting them together/reading instruction manuals is our life now on Christmas day.....I would have never thought....but wouldn't want it any other way:) A little stroller took me about 45 minutes to put together!

Hope to see you guys soon!
